How the teaching actually works
Face to face, trainer-led, assessed against the national training package and nothing else.
- Delivery
- Classroom, on campus, trainer-led. Simulated business and workplace activities. Course materials and resources through the AGIT eLearning platform.
- Contact hours
- A minimum of 20 scheduled classroom hours per week, plus 4 hours of required self-directed study — the student visa condition.
- Assessment
- Competency-based only. Written knowledge questions, case studies, simulations, role-plays, practical demonstrations, presentations, portfolios, projects and workplace-style reports.
- If you do not finish
- A Statement of Attainment is issued for the units you did complete. Partial study is not lost.
- Credit and RPL
- Recognition of Prior Learning and credit transfer are available before enrolment or at any point during study.
- Language and literacy
- Every student sits an LLN assessment before enrolment. Additional learning support and reasonable adjustments are available.
- Included
- Classrooms, student facilities, free Wi-Fi and all required course materials.
What we ask you to bring
A laptop with a current browser and enough capacity to produce documents, spreadsheets, presentations and PDFs. A working email address. Reliable internet at home. Notebooks and a USB or external drive.
IT students need additional storage and the ability to install software, because a good part of the course runs in virtual machines.
The people teaching it
AGIT describes its trainers as experienced industry professionals. That claim should be evidenced with names, photographs and credentials, and it is not evidenced anywhere on the current site.

EC-Council Academia Partnership
AGIT is an official partner of EC-Council under its Academia Partnership Program.
EC-Council issues the Certified Ethical Hacker credential. For anyone comparing cyber security courses, it is usually the one certification body whose name they already recognise, and it is the single strongest thing AGIT has to say about the Cyber Security specialisation.
The partnership gives students access to globally recognised cyber security certifications, industry-aligned curriculum and hands-on learning. It applies to the Cyber Security stream of ICT60220 and to all three tiers of AGIT IGNITE.
What the campus actually is
A two-storey rendered commercial building in a light-industrial estate at Monash Gate, Jandakot — off Armadale Road, near Cockburn Central, about twenty kilometres south of the Perth CBD. Concrete driveway, parking outside, a quiet street.
It is not a sandstone quadrangle and this page is not going to photograph it as one. Students who arrive expecting a university campus and find a commercial unit have been misled by a website, and the trust is gone on the first morning. What is here is classrooms, student facilities, free Wi-Fi and a small enough cohort — capacity is eighty — that the trainers know who you are.
Come and see it before you accept an offer if you are in Perth. If you are offshore, ask for a video call and someone will walk you through it.
