The Letter of Offer is the document that counts
Everything on this page is indicative. Your written Letter of Offer sets out the fees that actually apply to you, and it is the authoritative schedule. Instalment amounts and dates are set out in your written agreement.
Fee schedules are period-specific. If your offer is issued in a later period, the figures in it are the ones that apply.
What the number above does not include
Course fees are one line of the budget. These are the others, and they are the ones people are surprised by.
- OSHC
- Overseas Student Health Cover is mandatory for the length of your visa and is arranged separately. Costs vary by provider and cover period.
- Student visa
- The Department of Home Affairs charges its own application fee, which is not paid to AGIT.
- Living in Perth
- Accommodation, transport, food and phone. A Perth living-cost estimate is being prepared.
- Your own equipment
- A laptop, reliable internet, notebooks and a USB or external drive. IT students need additional storage and the ability to install software.
- English testing
- IELTS, PTE or TOEFL fees, if you do not already hold a result.
- Document certification
- Certified copies of your passport, transcripts and qualifications.
Refunds, scholarships and paying through an agent
The application fee
$250, non-refundable, payable when you accept your Letter of Offer. This figure is consistent across every AGIT source and is the one number on this page that has never been in doubt.
Refunds and the Tuition Protection Service
The refund policy and Tuition Protection Service statement are published separately.
Every CRICOS provider is required to have both, and to make them available to students before enrolment. Ask admissions for the current documents if you cannot find them.

Applying through an education agent
Agents do not change what you pay. The fee schedule above is the schedule regardless of how your application reaches AGIT, and any agent charging you a fee is charging it for their own service, not for your course.
If you are unsure whether an agent is authorised, ask AGIT directly before you pay anyone anything.
Course length and breaks
A 52-week course is 40 weeks of scheduled study and 12 weeks of breaks. A 104-week course is 80 weeks of study and 24 weeks of breaks. All courses run a minimum of 20 scheduled classroom hours a week plus 4 hours of required self-directed study, which is the student visa condition.
